Fine, so its redesignated. And I've heard them called the Prometheus or Daedalus class before. And BC-303 BC-304 are registry type designations, like CVN-65 for the Enterprise and such.

It isn't. X303 are just the type of ships. X101 hybrid interceptor, F302 space interceptor and BC303 battlecruiser

Fine, I might be willing to concede that the Prometheus is just the X303/BC-303 prototype, but I will be at least classing the Daedalus as Daedalus-Class, not BC-304 because that is exactly how naval vessels are registered in the US navy, and as these ships are built by the USAF, it only seems logical to me that they would have a similar registry system. And as I've said I have seen them called Prometheus-Class Daedalus-Class on several different sources. So, can we please drop that subject here and now.

You had better And my final justification is that these ships were produced by the US, so it makes sense that they would use the same registration system as US ships do. It makes sense that BC-303, which stands for Battle Cruiser/Carrier-303, is a registry because CVN-65, the registry of the Enterprise, stands for Carrier Vessel Nuclear. That is my justification, so please lets all let it go (I will too

And I am grateful for that, don't get me wrong. I just haven't seen that much of SG-1. Hopefully that will soon be rectified, but until then...Anyway, where does the information calling it the BC-303 class come from? If its from the show it could easily have been misconstrued.

It's just the way things are. Can't really point out the episodes but that's how it is. They're simply.... X303-Prometheus BC303-Daedalus (now BC since it isnt experimental) BC303-Odyesse.
BC303 is the classification, the type. Like you have Galaxy-class ships in ST.

Okay, since there's no canonical evidece to support that and they are identical to US Navy registrations, I will go ahead and call it the Daedalus Class. However, I will concede that the Prometheus was the experimental ship and does not belong to any specific class.

Thats fine calling them that. Just as long as you don't call other daedalus class ships, BC30?.

OK so...Daedalus class ships are called BC303....so if you want another daedalus class ship..itd be BC303 ship name and people would know it was a daedalus.

Uh...that's not what I meant earlier. To call it BC-303 would imply that it is the same ship, not a different one. But anyway, moving on. I'm going to change the galaxy fron the Sagittarius Galaxy to a full-sized galaxy somewhere several million light years away in the local group. The reason being that 70,000 light years is too close. I compared the Daedalus' stated non-ZPM assisted speed to Atlantis, assuming it was in the Pegasus Galaxy that's only 500,000 light years away, and found that at that speed it would only take the Endeavour 2 days to get there, which totally screws the whole idea of long-range exploration. I've come up with a design for a shuttle, and soon I'll start working on a fighter.

No, not yet. I may make one up, but I'll check wikipedia to make sure there aren't any real ones that are suitable. Does anyone have any idea which Pegasus Galaxy they're in on SGA?
