You should try and get some help with this series. It has some potential and you'll probably get overwhelmed doing it by youself.

Well, the back story is still flexible atm. No, I won't be writing the series in the same AU as Destiny and Horizon. And as for help, I'm getting some, slowly but surely. Right now I've got an artist/possible writer and someone who is helping me with the development and cannon info from SG-1. And I was thinking about changing the back story a little. Instead of having them find the name of the city on Earth, they find the mention in the Atlantis database, and the repository they find on Earth gives them the location. I may change the years as well, not to sure about that, and another thing is that as soon as the name is found, the Doctor who finds it, Liam McCullen, starts putting together a team, and its a few months later when the repository is found. I think that helps to eliminate any of the akwardness that I felt was entailed by the suddenly finding it and leaving on a spur of the moment decision. That's all for now.

Well if you're not being the same universe, might be best to keep away from ISGC since that's the organization in those series. Perhaps a new one?

Mabey I won't make it international. But if I do, how should I name it?

Could just keep it as SGC?

That's possible. Might as well post this here:
If anyone is at all interested in helping with Stargate Frontier in any way, please feel free to pm me or to post it here.
Also, I'm pretty sure I'm going to have the city have DEW's (Directed Energy Weapons). I know that we've never seen evidence to support that the Ancients had such weapons, but I personally can't see their warships having nothin more than drone launchers, so this is my way of rectifying that.

Okay, so Rasorra is going to be equipped with DEW's, or Directed Energy Weapons, consisting primarily of point defense cannons spread throughout the city, but it will also be equipped with several surface to space cannons. Also, there will be the five Lagrangian Point satellites around the system, though they will be of a different design and serve a slightly different purpose than the ones seen in Atlantis.

Sounding like Atlantis re-invented. How will you be making it different?

I mean with having this brand new city nobody knew about and having more satelites. I'm just wondering how your gonna try and make it different from Atlantis.

Well, the situation in the galaxy is entirely different, for starters. As for people not knowing about it, I think it only makes sense that the Ancients compartmentalized data, particularly after the Wraith and Goa'uld things. And the reason they still have the 5 Lagrangian Point satellites is because they've never had to really use them, though they will get used in the series.

OK. That's fair enough. Was just wondering what would be different.

So, I've just finished the SGD pilot and not only was it excellent (minus about five things) it gave me a few ideas as well. Like, for example, the Ancients have blocked all incoming wormholes, forcing the SGF team to travel there by ship, though the ship (tentatively named Endeavour) will only have a normal hyperdrive, since the Sagittarius Galaxy is only 70,000 light years away. That'll also probably play into some "problems at home", what with it being a several month trip there and back. Also, I've developed a fleet for the humans that will be part of the SGF AU. The ships are:
X-303 Prometheus (Prometheus-Class) X-304 Daedalus (Daedalus-Class) X-305 Odyssey (Daedalus-Class) X-306 Athena (Prometheus-Class) X-307 Theseus (Prometheus-Class) X-308 Intrepid (Intrepid-Class) X-309 Apollo (Prometheus-Class) X-310 Cerberus (Daedalus-Class) X-311 Dauntless (Intrepid-Class) X-312 Endeavour (Endeavour-Class)
Just before the christining of the Endeavour, however, a new registry system was implemented. All ships, until the Endeavour, were given the registry prefix EDFV, or Earth Defense Force Vessel. The Endeavour (and all others of her class) was (will be) given the registry prefix EEFV, or Earth Exploration Vessel.
Also, tThe development is coming along great for now, but I don't think I'll start any "set in stone" stuff until after SGA S2 and SG-1 S9 come out on DVD, so I can decide whether or not to cut the cannon off there or at S1 and S8. Something else I've been thinking about, what if the reason the Ancients in Rasorra left was the Goa'uld? That they had stayed behind after Atlantis left because a) They weren't being afflicted by the plague because although they didn't agree with the Ori, they didn't do anything to stop them and b) Because of theis they had a bit of a falling out with the Atlantis Ancients. Or perhaps they both left at the same time. Either way, its still open to debate. Thoughts and the like, please.

Erm..it wouldnt that way. It wouldnt be X303..X304..Besides its not BC303 and thats the name of the class..not Daedalus class.
