Here's the first part of Act One:
ACT ONE
EXT. ISGC
Since becoming an international undertking, the Stargate Command Center has undergone considerable change. A four-meter high trinium reinforced concrete barrier surrounds the entrance, and a swivel mounted laser turret tops the guard station.
INT. ISGC - Conference Room
DR NICOLE BRYSON sits at the head of the table, reading the mission report from M9S-R17. Only four other people sit around the table, Dr. Strom, Major Sanders, DOCTOR LIAM McCULLEN, and COLONEL KIRA CHRISTIANSEN. Bryson puts down the report as she finishes reading it.
BRYSON So, you found it.
McCULLEN Rasorra.
BRYSON In the Sagittarius Galaxy?
Strom frowns as he replies.
STROM As far as we can tell. Most of the data concerning the city's location was corrupted, though thankfully the address wasn't, and that seems to check out with the information we were able to salvage.
Bryson nods as she considers this. She then takes a deep breath and looks McCullen straight in the eye.
BRYSON How soon can your team be ready, Doctor?
McCullen raises his eyebrows in surprise.
McCULLEN: My team?
Bryson smiles.
BRYSON Liam, you've been searching for this city for the past four years, ever since you found that vague reference to it in the Atlantis database. If anyone deserves the leadership of this expedition, its you.
McCullen is obviously shocked and surprised, and speaks quietly when he replies.
McCULLEN Well, I have been working on a short list for months now, and I've already spoken to the majority of the people on it.
He raises his voice to normal volume.
McCULLEN (Con't.) Give me eight days to secure the remainder of the team.
Bryson nods in agreement.
BRYSON That should be enough time to allocate and requisition all the equipment you'll need.
And that's all I have for now. Personally, I think it sounds ameture and undeveloped, ut given time, it'll work out (it took me two weks to get the teaser how I wanted it). What I want to do next is have a converation with Liam, Kira, Strom, and Sanders (who, btw, will be renamed because Coloner Sanders is just too weird) asking them to go, but I'm not sure how to go about doing that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's fine. So, great news, soon I will have a website as well as a sponsor (I think that's the right word) for SGF.

Not sponsor, host. And I think I'll take a break on writing for now until I develop a solid season arc as well as get some more of the basic DEV out of the way. And ND, what's your SGF for?

Lots of stuff today. I've got a concept idea for the back story that I REALLY need feedback on to make sure the facts are cannon, and I've got a couple of random thoughts. So, first, the back story:
How Rasorra is Discovered: In 2008 (SGA Season 4, SG-1 Season 12) a research team in Antarctica gains access to a sealed chamber. Within it they find an interface device identical to that found on the Ancient Data Repository. Elated by this discovery, they quickly recieve permission to download as much data as possible, provided they can find a safe way to do so. Dr. Michael Strom is the one who discovers that the database functions in much the same way as the Atlantis computer systems. Upon further research and investigation, Strom discovers a control that, when activated, retracts a small section of the wall to reveal a technological interface (rather than the biological one). Though it takes nearly 500 hardrives with a capacity of 1 terabyte each (493), the entire database is downloaded. All of the hardrives are stored within an armored bunker deep within the ISGC, and a methodical cateloguing of the data begins. One of the scientists cateloguing the data, Dr. Liam McCullen, makes a remarkable discovery: The name of another Ancient city *. As he persues the subject, he finds that the data is incomplete, either corruted by damage the outpost sustained in years past or deliberately, though not entirely, deleted. Fortunately, a small bit of data did survive intact; Rasorra, the name of a second Ancient city.
*Note: In the alternate universe of this series, there are three Ancient cities: Atlantis, Rasorra, and Valoris.
Thoughts: How about having a planet in the Sorrena system (the system where Rasorra is) that is already inhabited? That should make for some interesting episodes, particularly if they don't have a stargate and are space-capable to an extent.

The other race is interesting...and..if your attempting to follow Horizon/Destiny continuity with ISGC...Geoff...has the ISGC been founded by then?

In the Horizon continuity, the ISGC already existed in 2007.
[edit] BTW, I like the backstory.
