OK. At the moment we're only looking to create mini-series, movies and one-off episodes. So please keep that in mind when you pitch an idea.
It can be based on a Stargate novel, a brand new idea with a series from a different perspective (eg. Tok'ra, Asgard).
Here is an example (from Monster Zero Productions) on how to pitch a story:
THRESHOLD VS 2
My name is Molly Caffrey, and I work for the Federal Government. I deal in worst case scenarios, the unthinkable. On September 16th, 2005, the unthinkable happened. An extraterrestrial object appeared off the bow of a naval freighter. The entire crew was exposed to a high frequency signal. Some died instantly. Others began to change. They are now stronger, more resilient. They dream of alien landscapes. And they are driven by the impulse to infect others. Several of the crewmen are now loose in the United States. They will strike anytime, anyplace, anyone. Their goal: to turn us into them. But I have a plan to stop them. That plan is called "Threshold".
Virtual Continuation by P. R. Robinson
The series stars Carla Gugino as Dr. Molly Caffrey, a high-level government crisis management consultant from the Blackwood Institute whose job is to create contingency plans for use in emergencies ranging from natural disasters to nuclear war. In order to have "all bases covered", one of her plans, code-named Threshold, is developed for dealing with the unlikely eventuality of first contact with aliens. After the crew of a U.S. naval vessel reports an encounter with an UFO, and many members of the crew subsequently die, the Threshold protocol is activated.
Caffrey's Threshold plan calls for the formation of a secret government task force known as the Red Team. As a result, several top scientists are seconded: Dr. Nigel Fenway (Brent Spiner), an individualistic NASA-employed microbiologist; Lucas Pegg (Robert Patrick Benedict), a somewhat unsure-of-himself aerospace engineer on the eve of his marriage, and Arthur Ramsey (Peter Dinklage), a mathematics and linguistics genius whose libido makes up for his lack of height. Caffrey's government liaison is Deputy National Security Advisor J.T. Baylock (Charles S. Dutton), while freelance paramilitary operative Sean Cavennaugh (Brian Van Holt) serves as the "muscle" of the group (and potential love interest for Caffrey). Daphne Larson (Catherine Bell) joined the team later to investigate the mutated food supplies.
Caffrey's team works under absolute secrecy, their activities not even known to the Vice-President, or the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Threshold learns that the aliens are attempting to rewrite the DNA of the human race using, in part, an audio signal that somehow alters some people's body chemistry in such a way that they become alien themselves, the team later discover that pre-pubescent children and those with certain genetic defects are not effected by the virus, and that the aliens have found a way to alter people's body chemistry through the food supply.
Central to all this is a fractal triskelion-like pattern that keeps appearing -- in blood, electronic signals, and even the pattern made by city lights.
SEASON 2, Episodes 1-11
2x01 Foothold pt 1
A mysterious alien object appears over Washington, DC. But Doctor Molly Anne Caffrey, the leader of the Threshold team is prepared - having relocated the US Government to Camp David, Fenway and Lucas develop a weapon that uses soundwaves to interfere with the alien signal -
2x02 Foothold pt 2
- the weapon developed by Threshold dulls the effects of the alien signal, but the residents of Washington DC begin to suffer the effects of the virus ... and the President must consider using nuclear or biological weapons to combat it, eventually deciding to put Washington under martial law and quarantine.
2x03 True Blue
The aliens set up camp around the Threshold compound in Allenville, demanding that they hand over Adam Drennan. Caffrey reveals the secret existence of a second Threshold team - the Blue Team, led by Doctor Thera Randall (Julianna Margulies).
2x04 The Conference
Ed Whitaker and Doctor Caffrey travel to an international conference in Geneva - meeting representatives of various countries and explaining the alien signal and the Threshold team. Whitaker is shot by an alien sniper - and JT Blaylock, later, replaces him.
2x05 Strange Bedfellows
When China expresses an interest in nuking Washington DC, Caffrey finds an unlikely ally in Agent Hayes and the aliens - they want to save humanity so they can convert it. But Hayes' aide may come at a price - Adam Drennan. And the entire situation may have been manipulated by the aliens themselves.
2x06 Commander In Chief
Caffrey makes a shocking discovery - the President of the USA has become infected after a signal was played to him. Meanwhile, Fenway and Daphne make progress in the artificial stimulation of the genetic defect that Doctor Sloane possessed.
2x07 Truth
NASA may have been infiltrated by aliens - as the truth about the incoming radiation cloud goes public. And the aliens make their existence public too - promising a way to save the Human race if they submit to conversion. Caffrey begins to question the morality of trying to stop the aliens - and simultaneously discovers she has cancer. Lucas' fiance is certified as uninfected - and joins the Red Team, assisting Fenway.
2x08 Justice
Caffrey agrees to a field test of the artificial stimulation of the genetic defect in an isolated town - but the residents of the town arrest her, placing her on trial for genetic manipulation. The trial of the artificial stimulation, however, succeeds.
2x09 The American Way
Adam Drennan begins to show signs of infection - hallucinating the presence of his mother, Libby, and his father, Crewman Sanford.
2x10 Two Men In A Lift
Caffrey calls a truce with the aliens and tries to get them to agree to voluntary alteration - but the, now rogue, Blue Team, reappear and try to sabotage the conference. Whilst Caffrey and Sloane try to negotiate with her own former allies, Cavanaugh and Hayes are trapped in a lift together -
2x11 Lend Me Your Ears
Caffrey and the Red Team begin investigating a radio station - who have begun playing the alien signal subliminally during songs. The awkward peace with the aliens is broken - and a new offensive begins.
Note : there were three protocols, including the Threshold Protocol, mentioned - the other two are not named but I have assumed that there are four protocols (inc. Threshold): Threshold, Foothold, Stranglehold and Stronghold. This is an assumption drawn from various interviews - and the mention by Brannon Braga as well as a scene in the season one finale, 'Alienville', that things would get a lot worse (and that the future would seem bleak and hopeless for humanity) before mankind eventually won .
Also, include information on characters if the series/episode/movie contains new original characters.
