So does anyone have any cool ideas for a virtual spin-off, but not the time to implament them?
Personally, I'd love one where we are based in the Tok'ra past, or one based on the Bill McCay novels.

I'd prefer one, if it was well done, to expand on The Four Races mythos.

Well, at the moment, I'm considering a VS based on my current continuum with The Unforeseeable Foe and the two "spin-off" series from that, The Word of Enlightenment and Deascension (which is part of a binary series with Return, both of which I need to finish).
(Note: Return and Deascension are in production (currently stalled), while the others are completed and waiting release. (The Unforeseeable Foe is currently being released in the SG-1 Archive Forum General FanFiction section, one part per week, every Sunday. The Word of Enlightenment will be released after I finish releasing The Unforeseeable Foe.)
If I do choose to make them, the setting will be 300 years beyond the final events of Return and Deascension and will primarily feature a combination of politics and space battles. It'll also have 10 episode season, as I'll be making/releasing another VS (not related to SG) concurrently.

I am useless at writing things, but how about something set in the Asguards galaxy? What species exist there? Is there a gate network or just a single stargate on Othalla?

Yes, series based around other species would be interesting. I'd really like one based on the Tok'ra, way back in the past when there where more of them.
