Danny is our Captain, which seems odd because of the whole being a diplomats, cultural expert thing, not a commander of a ship etc...but he is surprisingly good to have in that role. When i read him bieng captain it makes me think why he hasnt been able to do ship command before, its quite comfortable to see him like that now.
If you are worried about continuety then you dont have to be, Genesis is in someways a alternate universe fic. Its setting and thing are the same and the history of the galaxy is the same for the most part. But daniels continuetyi n Sg1/SGA can be explained by this being a little bit different from what the show is...which is how we have daniel millions of ear in to the past...when in another reality hes still on SG1.

Yeah when I wrote Forecast which was the first genesis ep that we really finished I had Danny be el caputanio, which wasn't what Immhotep orginaly inteaded, but it worked out.

I am also intrerested in how Daniel is portrayed, it will be interesting to see how he handles being a captain, but then by having the show as an AU it gives you a lot of flexibility when it comes to characters and continuity.
By the way, didnt realise Phil/Destinymaker was on your writing crew, he is busy what with Genesis and Icarus.

phil? hes not really on our writing crew, he was origionallly but he wasnt avalable for any of the major meetings we had, when we planned the episodes and done stuff so him on the writing staff is a bit of a grey area.
And pelion is one of my, if not my favourate character of the series, jsut becuase hes really different in personality and background to all the other aliens like tealc and teyla and ronan. plus you get another age group to have a perspective from which is quite nice to read.

I like lester as well, all the character are getting to the point wehere they are really crisp in how they interact with each other, its strange because weve kinda worked backwards through the season, so we knew how the end relations were gunna be, and so the begining was slightly easiers to handle, especially with lester its going to be a great story to see unfold.
Pash has created a couple of quite endearing recuring characters, and theyve been incorporated in to the series well, havent got any major arc for them yet, but theres the rest of season to have one of them having something happen *pst* catalist *pst*
