1.01 Providence, Part 1

In the first part of the pilot episode for SGD, an amazing discovery is made in Egypt, regarding the fate of the Ancients. It is learned that a small group of them left our galaxy for the distant Orion Galaxy, just under 10,000 years ago, several years after returning from Atlantis.
In 2015, after construction on the XC-314 Destiny is complete, she takes off for the Orion Galaxy with a crew of nearly 500. In the Orion Galaxy, the crew will discover many new wonders, allies, and a very powerful enemy.
Just a note, this episode will be released one week, and followed the next by Providence, Part 2. It will not be released in 'Movie' format, like Atlantis' rising.

Alas, January is quite a ways away. We'll get there eventually, and it'll bring new episodes of SG-1, Atlantis, Horizon, and now... Destiny! I'm looking forward to the pilot, waiting impatiently.  |

Well we're looking on finalizing the release date somewhere in January. We've just gotta decide whether to make Providence a feature length script or 2 seperate hour long ones. Personally I prefer the feature length script.

It's just the way the episode flows really, I think it's better to have as one big episode so you're introduced into the series as a cool movie.

Practically all series start with feature length...perhaps we should hurry up and finalize editing and do a few testing "screenings" to see the opinon

10 replies and the episode hasn't even aired yet.  I like em as two seperate ones released at the same time, but it really doesn't matter to me at all. |
