A couple weeks back, I spent several days working on this, a model of the gates used in SGD.
It dials just like the Atlantis gate, with the symbols illuminating, rather than spinning into place on a 'manual' ring, like the earth gate. Each of the 36 symbols are original, and created by me in Microsoft Paint. Note that all 9 chevrons light up on this model: this does NOT happen in the series whenever the Stargate is dialled. It's just for show.
I would like to ask if there is anyone out there that would be able to modify this .gif by making the event horizon activite once all 9 chevrons are lit. Just a shout to anyone that might be willing to give it a shot!
