I am creating a new kind of series that is not actually a virtual series, but a fan series none the less. Before I say any more I have permission to post this even though it's not strictly a VS from Elite Anubis Guard ;D
So, my series is called Stargate: Alarius and is written in the novel format. Here is my backstory:
The Backstory for Alarius
The year is 2010 AD. Our story takes place on board the Earth Ship Alarius, Earth’s greatest ever battle cruiser. The Alarius spends a lot of its time in Earth’s orbit. This is so if a surprise attack comes Earth will always have a ship up there waiting. As a result of this the Earth stargate program has moved out of Cheyenne Mountain and into the Alarius. The SGC is literally now on board a ship in Earth’s orbit. It is our last defence against a deadly foe.
Years ago, using an Alteran device Dr. Daniel Jackson and an alien who called herself Vala Maldoran went to an Ancient home world from when the ancestors where not ascended. There they met a race called the Ori, and well you know the story from there. However our timeline takes a history altering change from that point on. The Ori feared Alteran intervention if they made a full scale attack on the planet Earth and the galaxy in which it resides. The Ori however, did know of a race that in their opinion was capable of destroying the Earthlings for them, without the Ori even having to do anything. The race they spoke of is known as the Wraith, a foe Earth is all too familiar with. An Ori prior was dispatched to the Pegasus galaxy to issue the Wraith with hyperdrive technology to install onto their deadly hive ships. The Wraith sent an armada to the Milky Way, a full scale attack. The Wraith has been on the rampage through the MW ever since, eating and destroying planets for the past few years. Now they have turned their attention to the whole point of the expedition, Earth.
A few years or so ago the ES Prometheus was converted into nothing more than an exploration ship to visit worlds with no stargate on them, after it was decided to just let the Prommie’s technology outdate itself to save money on the countless upgrades USAF had been installing. Last year the Prometheus struck gold, in a corner or the galaxy so far untouched by the Wraiths wrath the ship found Hoffnunia, a planet inhabited by the advanced Hoffnung race. The race is very advanced, with technologies that can in many areas match that of the Asgard. The race however is on a whole are not born explorers. They have never had the vision to build a spacecraft, they just never thought to. When the Prometheus showed up all that changed, the Hoffnung technicians immediately began work on Hoffnunia’s very first space fleet after being showed the potential of space travel. Currently they have a mother ship and five battle cruisers, a real force to be reckoned with. Perhaps the Hoffnung’s greatest achievement however is their saviour of the tok’ra. By 2009 the tok’ra was on the brink of extinction. However with a combined Asgard-Hoffnung effort they were able to clone Egeria, the tok’ra queen. Tok’ra numbers are now flourishing and the old days of living in tunnels are long gone, they now have a thriving home world call Egeria, name of course after their precious queen.
Meanwhile the free jaffa nation is still a temperamental system. The system of governing has changed many times since the initial system was introduced (SG1 Season 9). We have gone from a high council, to a democracy, to a dictatorship for a brief period, to a republic and now once more the Jaffa have circled and returned to the High Council system.
When the Wraith exploded into this galaxy there was no answer. They simply feeded on any planet they wished. Now however the galaxy has another great alliance just like the one that came before it centuries ago. The Hoffnung, The Tok’ra, The Tau’ri, The Asgard and The Jaffa. The question is, will it be enough to end this terrifying period of history?
Instead of like a 'pilot' episode I am using season one as a pilot. If you guys remember way back when to Buffy The Vampire Slayer's first season it was half length, and a pilot series. This is what I'll be doing here. It will be 12 episodes (I already have the storylines for each episode). Then if feedback is relitively good I will be looking for a writing staff for a full length second season.
A sizable chunk of my first episode entitled 'Maiden Voyage' is already penned and my website is already at a place where I could put it publically online.
