Before the Replicators. Before the Goa'uld. Before the Ori. Before everything a species known as the Harbingers populated several galaxies including our own, and Pegasus. When four Atlantis personnel become hosts to the spirits of these Harbingers the world of Stargate will never be the same again, thousands are killed, billions are enslaved. The Harbingers will return to this plane, and only a small group of survivors on the new Gamma site can fight back, their Stargate, one that cannot be dialed into is used to hack into the network to search the planets of the Milky Way to help them in their fight. Armed with only two ships, the Odyssey and the newly constructed Renevatio the members of the Rebirth program fight a war, but in war, everybody looses.
Renevatio is going to be a three part mini series that, popularity permitting, will spawn a full series later in the year.
As for characters, well you are gonna have to wait for that, I have just one canon character in the mix that I can tell you about, I picked him for the simple reason that he is new and I will be able to develop him without worrying about canon issues, Colonel Emmerson, Captain of the Odyssey. No idea on a release date, but at the speed the writing is going at the moment it wont be too long. I have finished Act One of the first part, and hope to be able to write between five and ten pages per day for the first draft.

Dont think so, SGU productions is for series released by SGU itself, this is my own series, im just advertising here.
UPDATE: Re-read the Teaser and First Act and made a few changes, added someone here, got rid of someone there, and re wrote the final scene altogether (it was a little rushed, I prefer this one) will begin work on Act Two tomorrow and hope to have it done by the end of the weekend, with work on Acts 3 and 4 over next week.

Okay, lets discuss the gate. Like I said, this Stargate is impossible to dial into. That means that every time a team goes through the gate, they have to wait to be picked up by one of the ships or use alternate methods. The Stargate is one that was taken in "Off The Grid", Doctor Lee and Samantha Carter developed a programme to hack into the system, meaning we can establish a wormhole to another world.

Right o' I'll fill you in on the basic episode outline for Part One, spoilers are pretty slim as there is nothing beyond act two.
Rebirth Part One
Atlantis comes under attack from an unlikely enemy, forcing the survivors to retreat to Earth. Rodney McKay informs Sam Carter of what has happened to the Atlantis expedition, meanwhile Cameron Mitchell and Daniel Jackson find a world that had turned to Origin lying in ruins, their Prior killed and the people possesed by a force similar to an old enemy of Earth.

Just as a note, SG1 will not be in the entire series, Mitchell is in Part One, Carter is in Parts 1 and 2, as is Daniel. Teal'c is in Part two and 3. The only regular of SG1 in all 3 is Jack.
A Cast list is on your way within the next few days.

Just a point, with the SGU productions thing. The idea for SGU productions was to give us an excuse to release mini-series and other such things on our site, to get away from the virtual-episodes thing, and to give people (like me) who don't have the time to write a full series the chance to write a mini-series knowing its going to be released along-side our full series. The idea was never for us to jump in and take control or run any of the proposed ideas. I guess what I am trying to say is that, if you aren't posting this in SGU Productions because you want to be in full control over your series, don't worry because you will be in full control. However, its up to you and this is all I will say on the matter. If I totally miss-understood your reasons, don't worry bout it  |

Well, I have Act 2 complete and am pretty happy with it, it has just been flowing out, I have only had to make a few changes as I have gone back. Just a question, I know how to make a PDF, but I must be doing something wrong, I am working with Final Draft, and when I click save as PDF the file is pretty huge, the Teaser alone was the size of a full episode, 200+ kb, any hints on how to reduce the size easily or am I missing something?

I think its how Final Draft saves PDFs which is causing that.. um... I don't know enough about other methods to help I'm afraid.. can you export it into word or something?
