OK, examining the forum offline shows it works on the SGU skin, but it's not working on the Default skin (everyone has that same stupid glider avatar). I also still have the glider avatar, despite removing the link and telling it "none".

Avatars work fine for me.
Maybe you need to clear your computers "cookies" and "temporary internet files" and reset your computer.

It's the skin then. I only set the code for the SGU skin...I think I'll also make the default one for the SGH skin as the green chevron.

OK, I forgot something, I had it set to not display avatars. Now, I see changed avatars, but mine is still the same. For some reason, "No Avatar" is "Default Avatar"!!!

funny, I'd've thought "Display Avatar: No" would make sure none of the avatars are displayed.

I have my reasons for not wanting uniform avatars: it makes it more difficult to read the forums. I use avatars and periferal vision to see what "voice" to read a post in. It's also why I don't like it when two people have the same avatars.
